MISSION: Our aim is to establish and promote safe and direct cycling routes in Exmouth and environs, by working with interested parties (including the local authorities and Sustrans) to plan, extend and improve cycling infrastructure around Exmouth.
We are a group of Exmouth residents who have been working since 2002 to develop cycle provision within Exmouth.
We believe that by making cycling an easier, safer and more attractive transport option this will lead to many benefits, from sustainable low-carbon transport, improved health benefits, independence for young people and improved green tourism opportunities. In addition, cyclepaths will improve facilities for walkers and the disabled.
In 2008 we produced an Exmouth Cycle Path Strategy which after public consultation has been adopted as supplementary planning guidance. http://www.eastdevon.gov.uk/planning-exmouth_cyclepath_strategy
